It's sort of a warbling noise at idle. Like a turkey gobbling. Pitch rises with engine speed, sounds like a faint supercharger whine at higher rpm's, but not nearly as cool.

Seems like it started happening after I had my timing belt / water pump / belt tensioner replaced last fall. Which of those would be the most likely culprit for a turkey sound?

 

Clutch fan maybe. First off to make sure its actually on the serpintine belt take the belt off then run the engine to see if the noise is still there.

No, you just need a 17mm wrench to compress the tensioner then you work the belt around the fan and out.
