Yeah it can be dangerous when you driving on the freeway and it just quites on you. THat happened to my friends A4. It started going out over in seattle and we drove it back to Spokane (about 5-6 hours) then it lasted about a week and then it went out while he was on the freeway and almost got hit.

This is very dangerous because you have to over rev in order for your clutch to catch, this will only kill it faster till it can't grip at all.... I'm pretty sure this isn't nice to your flywheel either, its a hazard while on the road to have a disadvantage like that.
I would say take a loan and goes stage 2 or just get another OEM factory one unless your planning on putting some powerful mods onto it.
Be careful man, I've been there done that. It sucks

when its metal grinding on metal (flywheel to used up clutch) it can overheat, cause sparks, make grinding noises and ruin ur flywheel, and possibly transmit shocks and vibrations to your engine and screw something up there... it will usually not get to that point because there simply wont be enough friction to get the clutch down to bare metal... but just not a good idea regardless
