I hear so many things about how great snub mounts are so i want to get one. I am just wondering which one to get. I know alot of u get it from greedspeed and some others from APR. Which is better performance? Is there any difference? Also which color do u use for a 2.8?

 

I have the APR and love it. The greed speed is alot cheaper but I think the APR is better. It really stiffens up the car alot. As far as the color goes when you order it FromAPR or greedspeed they should know what color. ( the 1.8t is blue that's all I know) It is a very good investment though especially if your in there to do your TB

 

im actually gonna be buying it from teh sam eplace as my short shifter. Hes gonna install fo rme too cause im worried about this install. He said it was liek 40 something so i think its the good one.

 

I have been looking to do the same on my 99.5 A4 2.8QM. After all of my research on this forum, as well as Audizine and Audiworld, I decided to go with the Pure Motorsport snub mount. (www.purems.com) The snub mount was $23.95 and it cost me like $5 for shipping.
I chose the PureMS snub because it was the only snub mount which had no negative reviews. The greedspeed mount, while cheap, caught some reviews as not doing enough good. APR, at a whopping $50, while it does cure the driveline slop, can cause a bit of rattle in the cabin from the engine. This is usually a result of the mount requiring a little shaving prior to installation. PureMS, however, was said not to cause any vibration, and does not require any shaving.
Jestnomen purchased his snub mount custom made from a member of the 12V Forum on Audiworld (I believe that's right), and seems to love it. (Not sure you can get your hands on one of these though)
Seems like the mount reviews are all about personal taste. I havent installed mine yet, so I dont have any first hand experience to give you, just what I have read.

I ran searches on each of the sites for both snub mount and timing belt. I am doing my timing belt soon as well, and will do the snub at the same time.
