i was just curious of how the sidemarkers come off a 2001 a4. i wanted to put white bulbs in rather then the amber. does they pop off, or twist out? i dotn wanna crack something and do it wrong.

 

if you have the square sidemarkers (not the rectangular ones) just slide a credit card under the marker from the left (front side of the car). It will unclip a small hook and it should pop right out. Dont use a screwdriver - you'll scratch your paint.

I am not really sure how to take out the rectangular sidemarkers - could be the same.
