Well i just bough a desielgeek short shifter and i out it in but iam not really sure if i installed it right the shift lever is not up straight it is at a slight angle and are the gear on short shifter really close well if anyone has any advice on putting these in your car it would help me a ton thanks

 

search on www.audiworld.com there format sucks but I think a few guys have put this in over there and they have a lot of DIY wright ups

 

I don't have the same one but... With the Neuspeed one it does sort of sit a little to 2 o clock, and the gears will feel closer together. That's why it's called a short shifter.

 

well 1st though 5th work great and i love how short the pulls are but i dont have a reverse now anyideas thanks

 

did you get the right one? as in pushdown or non-pushdown reverse?

 

they sent me the one for the b5 with push down and i just cant figur it out

 

was your car originally push down. if not then they sent u the wrong stuff.

 

ok well i just conntacted the place i ordered it from and they said its supposed to elliminate the push down and make it like the non push downs he allso said i need to reajust a peice i put in thanks for everyones help i should have it working by tomarrow

 

what exactly is the purpose of a push down reverse i have it and i dont see why it is there becuase it works with out pusing it donw too

 

it is so you dont accidentaly throw it into reveres when you dont want to and you probly shouldnt be able to put it in to revese without pushing it downt iam not to sure if it is good for it or not but thats what it is for
