Default short ram intake

Where can i find a short ram intake for a b5 a4 1.8t? I have been searching around and all i was able to find was the carbonio cold air intake, but that won't help me at all due to the turbo. What short ram intake will give me the best performance?

The best performance intake in order of best to worst

Stock

any other intake

I would just replace the air filter with a KandN drop in and use intercooler couplers and piping to replace the accorian style piping from the factory. Heat soak gets worse with aftermarket intakes and decreases performance, I have yet to see or hear about an intake adding power to a 1.8t.

The 1.8 would lose a lot of low end grunt (which it needs). I think the 2.8 is the only motor which effectively uses the "ram" intake.

Evoms or Carbonia. They are called cold air intakes but they are technically short rams. You may lose some HP with an aftermarket intake but it will make your car sound better and your DV will make a psshhh sound when you let off the gas. If you want you can do the airbox mod. A lot of people have done it and like it, for me cutting up somthing that is not meant to be cut up is a little too much but to each his own. These are your options I have my Evoms and love it.

If you dont have room for a carbonio and need a higher flowing intake with a BTthe cheapest route would be to just slap a cone filter onto the end of the MAF and make a heat shield like this:

I guess though if a carbonio takes up too much room, that heat shield might not work for you.. You could probably make it slightly different though to allow the room.
