Shopping for winter tires, what tire size?!
I have a 98 A4 Quattro non-sport, with the stock wheels. I'm shopping for some winter tires (bored and shopping, you know how it is) and tirerack.com is saying my stock tires should be 195/65-15... or 205/55-16, but my tires say they're 205/60-15. Did someone just put tires a little bit of a wrong size on or did they put different rims on my car for some reason, or is this one of those things where that # doesn't matter much?
Also, I know the 15 or 16 at the end is the inside diameter, what do the other two numbers mean?
Thanks,
Kyle

the 205 is tire width. and the 60 is the height of the sidewall. you can probably go for any of those combinations.

--just re-read the post.....the tire on the car says ___ __ 15......that means that you dont have stock wheels...or just an option..? you cant do tires that end in 16 cuz they'll be too big...
