I talked to a guy on audiworld, and he said there was welding involved, as well as drilling, and tearing up your carpets... I mean, it is doable... but not nearly as easy as one might guess.

Both my driver and passenger have power seats. I thought the only difference in the seats was the grip the protruded from the side, the one that protruded from the bottom and the extension that moves out under the hamstring?

well obviously the seat cushioning is different, the s4 has much bigger bolsters and all that... if you are already powered, I think it is an easy conversion. Just phone some auto wreckers, find a wrecked S4.
EDIT: find a wrecked S4 where the airbags in the seats have not deployed... obviously
