I had my car in the drive way last night because my dad has his POS staturn in the garage when i got home from work...so it was out there all night and about 24 hours later i went to pull it in the garage because i dont like to keep it in the driveway. So i get in and turn it on and i go to put it in gear (auto/tip) and the thing wont leave park, so i pull a little hard, and keep pulling but i dont wanna pull so hard that i break the whole shifter. but then after a little while of pulling it will pull down but won't nessacarly go into gear but i can move it through gears but they dont seem to be catching. then finally it goes into gear but still doesn't feel right. by the time i got it in the garage it would move around fine and i just went out to check and it seems to be okay...could this be a sign of Transmission problems?...or could the gear box have been frozen? becuase it was like low 20's outside with a nasty windchill
wat could be wrong?

well there shifter is controlled by a mechanism and is adjusted by a nut and some times if it is out of wack it will cause it to no engage like that bc i remember when i did an engine swap for a guy that had an auto and had that problem. just a thought.
