Any of you guy done this ? I want some bass in my car , but its a lease , so I dont wanna be installing a headunit.

99a4audi, and Krule- What the hell are you talking about. there are many ways of running an amp and woofers off a stock deck. why are you even talking about stuff that you have no clue about. You should know for a FACT before you go around talking **** like you know what your saying.. THere is a way of running an amp and woofers off practically any deck!

The output wires going to the left and right speakers can splice to an LOC (line output converter) which gets hidden behind your stock head unit. The LOC converts speaker outputs to RCA cables therefore you can power music to your sub(s).

I have 2 12" Rockford Fosgate subs and a 1200 watt 2 channel amp in my B6A4. It sounds amazing with it.

As for blowing up ****.. what the hell do you have at risk? I ran a 4guage wire from my battery to my trunk and all the RCA cables from the head unit to the trunk and it works perfect.

I just hate it when people say its impossible to do.. when in reality they probably have never thought of attempting it themselves.

i have to 12 running off my stock deck. all you have to do is buy a amp and install kit for the subs. just so i dont have to type it all again follow YFZFourFifty recomendations. if you dont feal confedent doing it your self find a custum sterio place to do the install. don't trust circut city or best buy to do stuff like that.

 

I have my sub and amp running off an inline converter, i spliced the speaker wire in the trunk, it looks like this...

The blue box you see is the converter. It takes a speaker wire line, and sends it back out to an RCA...which then goes to your amp, which then goes to your sub. The black thing in front of the blue box is the bottom of my rear deck speaker.

 

well.. circut city and best buy know how to install it.. they have tools to remove your stock headunit but they want 3 things 1. Money 2. easy/ fast completioin.. which 3. leads to messing with your car and doing stupid stuff with it. they will drill through your firewall insted of grommenting it or silicolning it...

The easiest way to do it is deff. by yourself.. if not then make sure you can watch the guy at best buy or circut city install it so he does'nt start ripping up your carpet.

 

Peteman187--- you can do that too.. im not 100% positive but i think thats only for the Bose system???

 

I have the Delta. I imagine you could do it with any car any system, seeing as you are dealing with speaker wire not the head unit...
