RPM Bounce

RE: RPM Bounce
No relation. Our cars have motion and wind sensors. If your window is down a crack or if your sunroof is open (gotta be pretty powerful wind), it'll set it off. The button on the pillar right behind the front door will turn that sensor off.

RE: RPM Bounce
alarm sounds like a bad ground (has there been another alarm fitted??) which is not switching off because it shouldn't go off if the car is started, as for the VSS sensor yes it can effect the rev counter if its got a poor connection

RE: RPM Bounce
then it could be the internal sensors need turning down, also heat sets them off but lets face it the internal sensors wont deter the scum thief wire the sensors up to a 50k volt jolt that will end there career of theft ( I think its illegal though )

RE: RPM Bounce
the vss has nothing to do with rpm at all. the crank position sensor or maybe cam position sensor but thats about it. my question is what would a sensor on the wheel or trans (vss)have to do with how the car revs and idles? thats crazy talk man

RE: RPM Bounce
Thats cool man I dont want to get into an arguement over this thing. I guess Im not trying to say your wrong Im just having a hard time seeing what the vss has to do with rpm. I mean he isnt even moving for one plus I think they are two separate systems. Anyway when I get to work on monday Ill check out some wiring diagrams on AllData just for ***** and giggles

RE: RPM Bounce
lol Ive thought about wiring the battery to the door handles before but i figured I would need to carry a rubber glove around just in case the system malfunctioned.
Even though there are no lights will an autozone scan give a code?
