cant believe the brake shop estimated 1 hr each for both front and rear. with $60.00 /hr thats $120.00 right there just for the installation! And mind you, this was the the least quote i got!

all you have to do is pop the wheel off, unbolt the caliper, slide it off the rotor, reset the pistons, swap pads, and reassemble...whole process takes maybe 30 minutes per wheel if you've never done it before...it takes a professional shop maybe 10 minutes per wheel i would think...

after a couple times youi will be able to do brakes in your sleep.
And YES you can resurface audi rotors, but normally only once and if they are not too old.
They are thin to begin with and should be within certain specs to be within safety limits.
The age of your rotors will determine if your rotors can be resurfaced or not.

Is there a write up on brake changes? I'm gonna have to do my rears soon as the pad is getting really low. I know nothing about brakes but I'm assuming its a good idea to have both front and back done at the same time? Does the front or back wear faster? I know nothing..help me out anyone!
A list of needed parts and eqpmnt would be nice as well...I have no idea how old my rotors are so suggestions all around.
If this should be a new thread hook me up Jester!
