off a launch on Route 1 South by Pepboys stoplight in Edison, NJ. ripped an 03 Subaru WRX by tooo many car lengths! lol. i was just OUT! lol and i didnt even wanna race kause my revo was off. but why not? lmao i just laughed.

B7 A4 mods: millteksport exhaust w/ high-flow cat; revo stage II + other shii
03 WRX mods: turboXS exhaust w/ no cat (i smelled that shii) + other shii

 

WRX are not that fast, trans can only handle like 250-275whp or something like that, then it becomes unreliable.

gotta step up to the STi 6speed. that will take the 380 (stock rods top HP rating) all day.

 

What the biggest difference between STi and WRX?

Is it the turbo size?

 

stock wrx: 227hp; weight: 3100lbs
stock a4: 200hp; weight: 3500lbs

lol i'll step up to an STi when i do more shii to my car. i had my car for 2 months. calm down!

tell u tha truth. idk? i dont think it's a bigger turbo. i just think it's bigger injectors and fuel-line, better performance tuning. and better exhaust. but i dont think it's a bigger turbo. but i could be wrong.

 

lol most street-races i get into are unplanned. and no prep-time for a camera. lol i'll have some videos when i take my car to tha track this spring.

 

The STi motor has an increased stroke (2.5L) and is built with better stronger components. +bigger turbo(VF39)
In japan the STi and the WRX Share the same motor (2.0L) because of Rally regulations, but they build the Jspec/euro 2.0L better. Dunno what the exact turbo they use on those is.

The light modders switch up to the STi's stock VF39 Turbo which, I believe, is a direct bolt on replacement. As long as you get a Utec and new injectors you will get about 250-275AWH (bigg diff cuz the 222 is crank HP so its a 50-75hp gain @the wheels). But again the trans wont hold for long at that power. Most people who build up a 2.0 WRX do a 6-speed trans swap anyway...

 

The only noitcable difference under the hood is the intercooler.

One says STi and one doesn't.

I asked my friend who owns a WRX and he doesn't even know.

 

Lol! This story I have is nothing, but lastnight a dude in a Scion tC started revving his engine at me for no apparent reason. Maybe because my girlfriend was in the car? I was like wow, and as some of you know I got my car APR flashed yesterday so I just had to do it.. I knew for a fact tCs only had 160HP stock, so I just wanted to see...

At first I just took off on the street, I hit 70 and pretty much dusted him so I thought it was over and just slowed down.. Then he started trying to catch up, and got next to me.. I was like jesus, this guy doesnt learn! So I just took off again, you could really hear him trying to catch up again, like his car was squeeling (didn't know how to drive it ors omething).. But you know what? He just couldn't compete. =]
