Default Rip in Driver's Seat

I have a tear in my driver's seat which is about one inch long. The rest of the seat is fine, but the tear in my mind is an eye sore. As the seats in my car are vinyl (as with most of the A4 1.8 T's) should I get a new seat to replace it or have just the driver's seat fixed (is that possible?) or lastly, should I go to a place such as http://leatherseats.com/ to have all my seats converted to leather? I wouldn't want to spend more than 1k.

I would get it fixed, and if that doesn't last too long, then consider replacement.

A friend of mine with dark seats had someone come out and fix his. They were a professional, and used liquid vinyl. It looks pertty darn good and was hardly noticable afterwards.
