Rieger vs. Oettinger (B6 - RS4 Style Bumper)
My 2003 A4 has a ton of Highway miles on it (120k) but I love it and will keep it for a while yet.
As you can imagine, the front bumper and hood are blasted to hell so to make a long story short, I want to replace the front bumper with an RS 4 style.
From looking around on the Net and here, I've narrowed it down to the Rieger or the Oettinger. They look very similar but the Oettinger is like $400 more.
They're both made of ABS plastic but the Oettinger shipping weight is 90 lbs versus the Rieger at 50 lbs.
Does anyone have the experience to compare these two products accordingly? I don't mind spending a bit more for the Oettinger if it is twice as heavy and durable.

I have a rieger front lip spoiler and my 3.0 is low, spoiler sits 3" off the ground, I have scraped just about anything you can think of and it has not warped of cracked, perfect after about 10,000 miles, if I buy any more body parts ot will be from rieger.

Thanks FlyinB!
Is there a reason you like the Oettenger? Have you seen and "fondled" both? Is the Oettenger really heavier?
The two really look very similar, at least on the net. I haven't seen the Sportec but I'm web-searching now.
If you dont mind me asking, do you like the Caractere and Sportec for looks, fit and finish or other reasons?

just measured the front spoiler and it sits 4.25 off the ground not 3.00, but it is still low.
