ride quality
I was wondering how big of a difference there is between the 17's stock on the B6 A4 vs. 19's. i know that the low profile tire sacrifices ride quality, but how much? Living in Ohio with the crappiest roads around brings potholes and a lot of other junk on the roads. Will 19's not be a good choice and should i go with 18's or forget about it and go for the 19's?

RE: ride quality
19's will ride much harsher than 17's. Not to mention be heavier and bend easier (in most cases). You would probably be ok in Ohio with 19's. But you suffer some perfromance with 19's also. 18's are a better and less compromising solution.

RE: ride quality
I have stock rims on mine. My wife hit a pot hole (it was a deep one) which blasted the tire and f-ed up the rim. Fortunately we were able to repair the rim. If you have a crap-load of potholes, you may want to avoid 19s.

I live in Cleveland, but go to school down in Oxford by Cinncinatti at Miami University. I was thinking about 19's, but the roads up here are so horrible. Traveling back and forth on 71 and 70, i dont know how bad of a ride tha would be. If i go with 18's i was looking at the ASA ST4 rims, but they have on tire rack only the 19's.
