reved my engine at low engine temp
hi
i happened to have some fun with my car(A4 B6 2.0) and i did'nt know my engine temp was low, after some speedy runs of around 120km\ph, i only rev it up to about 6000 rpm, think i should get it checked, the temp was around 45 degrees, any after effects i should look out for?
thanks!

RE: reved my engine at low engine temp
Well running it hard before it's up to temp is definetely not advised. However, it shouldn't have hurt anything. Letting the engine get warm allows the temperature to gradually increase (this is very imprtant on a turboed car). Just don't make it a habit and you'll be alright.

I think you mean B7, but you should be okay...but for the longevity of your tranny let your car warm up first
