Default Replacing Automatic B6 Shift ****

Recently bought the SPP Tip Mod to replace my shift **** (automatic). I haven't received the package yet, but I wanted to get an idea of how to install the new ****. I have searched many forums but am unable to find a DIY/FAQ to replacing the shift ****, can anyone help me out?

BTW just bought an 03 A4 3.0 w/ 37k and probably the best car I have driven yet. Only had the car for a week (put 500 miles on it in 3 days haha!) and don't regret it one bit!

Thanks,

Kev

Bump from second page with no replies.

IDK, you guys and your silly automatics. Usually there are screws holding the **** to the shaft in other cars.

Did you go out and look all around it. We aren't rebuilding the bottom end here, it has to be a fairly simply attachment method.

Yea, the bottom unscrews but was unsure if I kept going or not, did not want to scratch it.

Btw, Automatic>Stick for Los Angeles traffic, and if you don't believe me try driving here for a week with a stick and see if you want to continue with it

Um, it will always be stick > automatic. If your traffic situation ruins the fun of driving a stick, move to a new location. The Audi needs room to go stretch its legs anyway.

You kids have your priorities all out of whack. Stick shift > why ever you choose to live in LA.

Stick > * , I agree, but I was born here, went to college here, and I shall stay! I will eventually get an A4 (stick) to mess around with on the weekends, so don't bash me too hard!

Ah the spirit of thrashing the gears still lives inside you. There is still hope.

Hyundai for playing bumper cars on the way to work and Audi for illegally fast driving on the weekends would be a good idea.

I truley don't know how you have the patience for all that traffic. I get road rage at65 mph on the highway. Me + 5mph crawl = burst blood vessels + frequent use of middle finger.
