Default replacement windshield

aiight so my ******* friend got in a fight the other night and decided it was my windshield's fault. He punched the glass and now my windshields all sorts of ugly; I really gotta get a new one soon. Ive dealt with a company that comes to your house and replaces it but that was with an old camry and accord. has anyone had to replace a windsheild before? Is it something i should do myself or should i just pay someone to do it for me? How much do you guys think this should run me if i decide to get it done at a shop? any help would be greatly appreciated.

if you have done a windshield before and kno what your doing then go for it but i would stick to someone that does them for a living. then you know you wont have any air leaks.

I would check with the stealership and see who they use. Sometimes you get a company that uses inferior replacement glass. If you use the company the stealership uses, you know you are likely getting a good part that is Audi approved. Not a guarantee, but it is likely. And I wouldn't do it myself if I never had done it before. Side glass maybe, but not the windshield.

if you have done one before let a garage do it ( not just Audi ) many garages fit them,

first see if you insurance does it for free in the UK we pay the first £60 approx $120 and the insurance covers the rest without affecting your insurance premium and believe me windshield is not easy to replace if you don't have the tools and know how
