Replacement Tires
The time has come for me to purchase some new tires. I have a 2005.5 A4 Quattro with the sports package. Currently I have the stock Pirelli P6 P235/45 R17 94V. What is a good all season replacement. These are the two I am looking at:
-Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S P235/45 R17 H - Is the H rating a problem?
-Dunlop SP Sport 5000 P235/45ZR-17 ASY 93W
I selected them based on consumer reports ratings. I'm a pretty conservative driver but I do like to open it up ever once and a while.

RE: Replacement Tires
don't do all seasons... they wear out faster than specilized tires so you might as well get a set of summers and winters and have them last longer and enjoy the driving more, than buy all seasons now, and then again next year., but i guess it all depends on how had you drive the car...

RE: Replacement Tires
The Russian, there are tread wear numbers on the tires. I have
Goodyear Assurance Triple Tread with 740 tread wear. They should
last 80K mi.
rccoburn, go to
www.tirerack.com
and answer the questions they ask.
Read the reviews that others have written.

RE: Replacement Tires
I just picked up a set of Bridgestone Potenza RE960's. Awesome tires! From what I've heard, they also have really good reviews. They didn't have any 235-45/17's in stock, so I ended up buying a set of 245-45/17's. The only difference is the 245's are 10mm larger. 40k mile warranty.
