i did a search already, but wasnt able to find anything about this topic. i was just wondering where can i find a reaplacement key for my 99 audi a4 1.8t quattro. i just bought it and all i got is a valet key, with no keyless entry buttons(just a key) and how much would it cost?

 

i only had the valet key as well - the dealer can cut you aother valet but you will have to buy the switchblade remote ... from the dealer about $150.00 - i bought on ebay for $40.00 and programmed it myself (its easy) and had the dealer cut it , which they did for free. search ebay under "audi remote" there are two versions ... you will probably need the one with the fcc# MZ2 410 819 6 4. good luck

 

how do u program it and how do i find out what key number i need.... i have a remote but it is partially broken being held together with tape...

 

EBAY is ur best bet if you can find the right thing....

thanks...now do u know where i can find a cover for my tow anchor thingy(in front of my bumper near the passenger fog lights, the tow cover) where can i get it? how much does it go for?

 

I had a duplicate key made last week for my A4 at the dealer. Cost was $54.00. Key only, no remote.
