but 2.8L is not enough displacement to really take advantage of a remote setup..
I have seen a rear mounted integra, what does displacement have to do with anything? As long as you still have exhaust velocity you are good.
exhaust gas cools as it moves down the exhaust, this means that by the time it reaches the turboat the back of the car it has a slower velocity. now you have to take in the fact that there is even more IC pipe back to front of the car before the charge air gets to the cylinder. this makes it less efficient then a turbothat has a very short runner manifold and a short IC pipe to the TB.. this is what the rear mount system has against it. and that is with engines twice the size as a 2.8. it will work, it will have enough exhaust gas velocity to turn a turbine.. but it just won't have as good as results as the larger 5.7+ liter V8s do..

Any GOOD turbo system should have the turbos shortly following the enigne, of course. You and i both know that. STS claims far lower intake temps than a normal tubo setup can provide from the extra distance. I have seenthe install of a system on a corvette on tv and they only claimed 1 or 2 psi drop to the tb from a remote turbo and only needing a small ic due to heat loss through the charge pipes. Not my ideal setup, but better than a N/A 2.8/3.0.
