remote starters

RE: remote starters
remote starters are iffy on a stick. If you leave your car in gear and turn it on, it will go forward (or reverse depends on the gear you leave it in). I have a viper remote start on my car, but I NEVER leave it in gear. Incidently my Dad drove it once and left it in gear.... owned a trash can and my bumper. So yeah, gotta be careful.
also, it can be tough to find a shop to put one in due to the legal concerns. You can get things like merc. switches and other devices to ensure the car is out of gear, but they can be a pita.
