Remote Range Booster
Okay, I've searched. I've searched the forums, I've searched my car and I can't find the antenna for the keyless entry system. I've checked the C and D pillars on both sides, checked under the car on the passenger side rear bumper, and dug around under the rear seats. It seems like most people with 1999s find the antenna under the seat and even someone with a 98.5 Avant said that's where theirs is, so I would think mine ought to be there too. For those of you who have successfully found it (and especially if you have a Avant), where exactly was it, where did it seem to originate, did it have a cap, was in the main bundle of wires under the rear seats, and what color was it? Thanks in advance.

well it should originate from the remote unit itself...
Mine was under the back seat, and I'm guessing you've already read about all that. Just find that central unit and you should be able to trace the wire until you find the end.

RE: Remote Range Booster
Well, I found the pump...I'm assuming the controls are built into the same unit. It's in the rear passenger side compartment with the jack and hazard triangle, but there's no way for me to trace them back up to that main bundle without completely tearing apart the interior...and if that were an easy job, I would have done it, but it looks like a huge pain. I found where the bundle enters the rear seat area, but I tried to follow those wires and didn't find the antenna that way either. Also, there's a black box in the under what would be the center seat at the front of the seat. It has wires coming from it, but tracing those didn't turn up an antenna either.
