quick question on installing k&n air intake...
when taking out the old air intake stuff there is the wires and other things connected to the box and such. i'm not really sure what you call them. but what do you do with them when putting in the aftermarket air intake?

hmmm wish i could help you on that one but my wires (there the o2 sensors) were connected to the outside of the box..tore my hand up trying to install it though..lol.

There are no O2 sensors in the intake system. The O2 sensors are both screwed into the catalytic converter body. The MAF sensor is in the airbox. Well I guess that is an O2 sensor of sorts.

if you buy anintake for your car it should come with a harness for your MAF (mass air flow) sensor. if it doesnt, return the product because it wont work on your car. some intakes utalize the stock neck and MAF harness/socket. infact most do.

Just disconnect all the wires from their little clips, and do your thing. It IS a PITA but it only takes 15 - 20 minutes to do it. I just took my K&N out and put in a paper filter :P
