Questions about BT tuning and setup
Ok, I have finally narrowed it down to a GT28RS or a GT2871R. If I buy an aem wideband, what ecu software should I get? I have a buddy who can dyno tune my car as long as I have a wideband. What injectors are needed or reccomended? Do I need a 4 or 5 bar fpr? 2.75' dp back exhaust or 3'? FMIC, do I need one? What else is needed with these setups? I'm trying to figure it out price wise and start gathering parts.

RE: Questions about BT tuning and setup
yes you will need a FMIC
71r will have more lag, but make more final power... depends if u do mainly highway or city driving...
i know several b6's with the 70r running revo software... check with them, i think ecode can tune the file more specifically for the 71r

RE: Questions about BT tuning and setup
it all depends on the tune they do as well.
Unitronic mainly has 440 and 630 cc injector tunes, but it all depends on what you pick.
also, you can't go with revo because they don't have a bt file for the B5.
to complete the turbo kit you'll want:
fmic
injectors (depending on the tune)
3" turbo-back (2.75 is good but 3 gives you its full potential)
clutch (don't need it right away, but your stock clutch wond be able to handle it after awhile, i recommend southbend)

RE: Questions about BT tuning and setup
You are not going to see any real differece from a 2.75 - 3" exhaust but dB level. As for the increase in lag, its going to be all of 200rpms since the turbine wheels are the same and the compressor wheel is slightly larger. The 2871r will make 15-20whp more at ~20psi and still have the potenial to run 30psi and make high 300whp on race gas. This would be a good time to buy a real fmic and not a ebay kit if you plan on going 71r. 034motorsport just released a nice one at a reasonable cost that would suit your needs. And yes, unitronics is the way to go, 630cc's min.
