Question for test pipe users
Well I finally got the famous CEL for using a test pipe. I have researched some of the fixes. I cant use the spark arestors there is not enough room to install those, I could barly get the o2 back in. I did see where someone used a 90deg arestor off the first but cant find those anywhere.
Has anyone used the resistor thing and had it work?
Has anyone left the o2 free in the engine bay and had it work? If so where did you get the plug to plug up the hole?
I will probably try the resistor thing next but wont have time for a while so I was curious what others have had success with and what year your car is.

RE: Question for test pipe users
What year do you have soupie? I just installed it drove about 5 miles and the light came on.
Ive heard the resistor doesnt work sometimes to. The write up on....that other forum.... was for an S4. Thats why I was wondering if anyone actually got it to work on a 1.8. I think it would be more of a hassel to remove and reweld another bung. I had a hell of a time getting that TP on there. There wasnt enough clearance for a socket on the bottom and engine side studs to get the nut on, I had to use an open wrench. I really dont want to go through that again. Eventually I probably will go with a HFcat after the DP and just extend the sensor. Im still running the stock exhaust. I may do that when I upgrade, not sure though.
Happen to know what size threads or where I can get a plug that would fit the hole? Im still looking for a 90deg adapter that would fit the arestor to.

Read through this whole thread
VW Vortex Help! and adapter
once you get through that, there's a member named: Wayne92SLC who makes an L shaped adapter for like $35 I think.
