QUES: Rotating the tyres...
Details: 2004 A4 Cab Sport (with the 17" Sport Alloys) 2WD...
The car's done about 15,500 miles and I noticed that the fronts are looking a bit worn, whilst the rears look virtually brand new!
So today I got out my trolly jack with the view to rotate the fronts to the backs etc. I removed the bolts on the front left wheel no problem but I could not get the wheel off for love nor money! Looking at the spare (which is also a sport alloy) the point that the wheel meets the hub is flat so what's holding it on? Any tips for removing stubbon wheels? God only knows what will happen if I get a puncher!
Second question, should I actually bother? Should I just wait another month or so an take it to a garage for a new pair on the front?
Thanks.

RE: QUES: Rotating the tyres...
sometimes it's just corrosion that holds it fast. get a mallet and bang on it or if you are courageous, get under the car and stomp at the wheels from the insides. that should get them loose, or kill you. had the same problem with my last car with the front wheels and it was rear drive. just tons of rust and gunk around the wheels,

Does anything stick out in to the section behind the badge in the centre of the wheel?
An idea I just had: I could have slowly lowered the car until its own weight broke the seal between the alloy and the hub, and then jacked it up again to put the spare on. It depends if anything is behind the Audi badge in the centre of the wheel that could be damaged.
