Quattro Transmissions problems?
Hi, I have a 2001 A4 Tip/Quattro with 90k on it. About 3 months ago after my Timing belt snapped. My tranny started acting up.. when I try going up hills in first, when it switchs over to second it Rev`s in neutral and slamins into second... and in the morning when Its cold... when Im backing out of my drive way. It will slip out of gear into neutral and untill I give it gas over 1500 rpms.. then it slips back in... could it be a bad tranny?? or low fluid...???

its either low or worn out fluid.......get a tranny flush done. the trans is a seald unit and has no dipstick. take it to a local euro car repair and they can change it for around 200.

DO NOT CHANGE THE FLUID it doesnt wear out, it could be low, but before you do anything it takes 14 quarts of fluid and each quart costs 50$... you do the math, it pretty much adds up to something you dont want to mess around with.
