quarter mile times for my a4
i was wondering what teh quarter mile times and 0-60 are for my 1996 a4 5spd quattro 2.8 12v. some sites say 8.9, 16.8 and my old h23 prelude runs 7.9, 15.9 which cant be true. the a4 has 12 more hp, and 30 more lbs of torque. the prelude weighed 2900 lbs but i dont think the audi is more than 3400.
i was jsut looking for clarification on whether or not these times are accurate and if they are how is this possible
thanks-

i have tracked my stock 12v. i have gotten 16.5 at around 84-85 mph. with 17 in rims on on my times incresed to about 17.1 but that was with a clutch that was going. the audi is around 3400lbs 0-60 i have no idea
also you loose more hp going to the wheels due to an awd

haha im not gonna cry although i am very dissapointed i didnt think my lude could be faster and shouldnt awd help with the times since youll get a much better launch? im pissed i sold my lude and got a car that is slower for 3 times as much money and that has no potential. but what can you do at least i can beat m3's off the line haha

eh if your looking for speed you should have bought a 1.8T . the 2.8 might be faster than a 1.8T stock, but it doesnt have potential. if you have around $5k to drop for a SC then it will be fast.
the 1.8 is very very good to you when it comes to mods and going fast.

the curb weight is 3087 so it only weighs the prelude by a lil more than 100 lbs, i think 12 hp/100 lbs should still be a gain right? plus the extra torque. maybe it doesnt put as much to the wheels as the lude tho..........
