PREMIUM SYSTEM INTERFACE UNIVERSAL DIRECT SPLICE-IN
why and what does this do?? i bought the car with a cheap sonyaftermarket deck andthe front speakers dont work!so i pulled it out to install a new amp and sub andfound a PREMIUM SYSTEM INTERFACE UNIVERSAL DIRECT SPLICE-IN
so what does this do and why do i need it!! i have hooked up many system but never ran into this! any ideas if this would effect my front speakers and are there front speakers in a 1997 a4> are they in the door top and bottom?
i also search and coulden't find info.
also would i hook the rca up to the deck or to this by pass system cause it also has rca??
thanks again

RE: PREMIUM SYSTEM INTERFACE UNIVERSAL DIRECT SPLICE-IN
Might have somthing to do with the BOSE system - did they offer that in 97 - I have it in my 98. From what I was told when I was asking about a new stereo for my car was that the BOSE makes it a bit(ch to modify the stereo. Your splice in might bypass the BOSE amps to give you a "pre-amp" signal somehow.
