Default Prelude vs. A4

This dude at work always loves talking about how fast his Prelude is, so today I told him when he gets his new tranny, I'll race him for fun. Basically I want him to shut up. He told me he could take me in the straights or the twisties, I told him maybe in the straights, definately not in twisties.

He has:
latest gen Prelude (not sure what year)
slushbox with sportshifter
short ram (aka hot air intake - better than cold air according to him)
muffler, not catback, just muffler
heavy 18" wheels
and said that when we race, he'll probably have his MSD box in.
He says he'll be running 200hp, 220ft/lbs on race day

I'm all stock 2001.5, so 170hp. I might put my K&N back in for the race (probably won't do anything, but hey). I figure I have the transmission advantage too since I have a 5-speed, but he's likely to get a better launch with FWD. I know he's fond of neutral drops, so I think he'll probably f--- something up anyway.
I'm going to take out my spare tire, run 1/4 tank, all the mats, rear bench, engine covers, and all my cargo out. Basically, I'm going to take off anything I can get off in about 10 minutes.

Who's going to win? No wager involved, just bragging rights.

I know they won't do much, but I might as well... my buddy was telling my I should take out my shift boot, lol. Maybe I'll pile all my crap into his car when he's not looking...

Sorry but if he's manual and running the stats that he says he's running(which means he has an H22a under the hood) He's gonna beat you but have fun and race him im not to sure on how fast the 2001.5 A4's are. I know he would beet a stock 2000 model though

temps make all the difference. i cant wait till it cools down so i can releash my beast. only has k&n and air box mod but she pulls soo damn hard compared to an audi with the same mods. i think its cuz i have a very healty motor. oil changed every 4k, bottle of gas treatment everytime i fill up, and fuel system cleaner every 1k miles.

i dont know what he has stock but a muffler and a short ram isnt gonna give him **** for power gains, even if he has the vtec the most hes gonna have is 190hp, maybe 192 from his sweet mods lol, if he has s or si hes gonna just over 135 or 160, and his car is between 2805 and 3000 probably, thats without spare and gas and all that i think, the vtec is heavier but he might take you with that... good luck

am I the only one here who noticed that he said he'll lose off the line because his friend has FWD? I'm sorry but if I ever lost a launch to a FWD car i'd kill myself.
