Default Pirelli 6 Four Seasons: pls. post your experiences

I got a 2003 1.8T with Pirelli 6 Four Seasons. I read from the reviews at tirerack.com that a significant number of non Audi users complained of poor tread life and excessive noise while Audi owners who used this tire were not as harsh in their criticisms. Did Pirelli improve on this tire or is it still a lemon?

basically if u have a 4wd car, the tires will last longer than front wheel drive or rear wheel. think about this, if u stand on one egg compared to standing on a whole carton. the forces are spread out so they take less beating. but im not sure if it's a lemon. nvr heard of a lemon on tires b4 but i've heard of defects

i don't understand the q. if you bought the car and want new rims or to replace the tires, buy what you want . if not and you personally are ok w/the tread, handling, noise, enjoy the ride til ya need to replace em. i personally never woulda bought the tires on my car, but they were brand new when i bought it. i'm not changing rims yet, so i'm just using them.

I've got them and love em. Only loud on the rough *** Seattle freeways, and even then they're not as bad as my wife's Michelins. Can't tell you about the lifespan as mine only have about 4k on them. How do you like them?
