Default Pics! (Yeah, daylight brake pics too!)

So it's pretty nice out right now! Went out and snapped a few shots! My dad has snow tires on his 17's now... the 19" CH's will be on in the spring. I scored his 16" wheels... life is good! As you can see, we're a 1.8T family... my a4 is in the neighbors driveway. Haha! And that's my dog, Tyra. She's 2.

Has your dad ever considerd a Big injector program for his ride? The way i justify power mods is it makes the car faster for passing power, making it safer.

He is revo'd... and they make an injector program I believe. I mentioned this to my dad... because the Stage 1+ for b6's is pretty impressive, considering it's just a chip and injectors... makes good power! He wasn't so interested... the other issue is that his car CAME revo'd... so he'd likely have to pay to have it reflashed. Next Christmas I might get him injectors though, and find out what would happen for the flash... how much it'd cost etc etc. I don't think he'd say no to it as a Christmas gift.

And yeah! Shepherds do rock!

Haha yeah the rust sucks for sure... I can definately see myself painting the rotors this spring... when I put the 17's back on, and play with the coilovers again... and get my swaybars on... haha yeah, it'll be a good day.

ORIGINAL: bentframe

paint them with what?
I have used caliper paint before, to paint the rotors... and it worked fairly well! They were blue though... haha, I actually painted the whole bloody rotor... I didn't care about covering the actual braking surface... first few stops... well, the car really DIDN'T stop... but the first few applications of the brakes were sketchy... but then all the paint was worn off the rotors, and away I went! I would paint these ones silver though, obviously.

You can't really tell, but the fins on the outside of the rotor was blue... it held up well for the first while... I sort of stopped caring towards the end, I don't know if they ended up looking grungy or not.

Here's a pic though, from my old GTI VR6
