RE: Pics of the whip.
Not sure about the exhaust...it's off a crashed A4 that I got to early.---but I LIKE it. I'll see if I can find some engraving.
The wheels are actually A3 17's. I like the look of it myself,, and it'l look real sweet when the car is dropped a couple of inches which is next on the list. My only worry is bottoming out. I still scrape the front sometimes and the car sits so high. There are a LOT of smooth roads on Long Island BUT there's also ALOT of dips and speed bumps all over the place.

Holy crap, you must be my doppelganger.
For a while (college), everyone called me Crazy Dave. I have a nearly identical car to yours - a black1997 A4 2.8 quattro with manual transmission. I even debadged the same way (everything except the quattro badge), and I'm planning on eventually getting an S4 front bumper and M3 lip spoiler. Those A3 wheels are freakin' sweet - how much tint did you use on your tail lights?
Oh, and that's the stock steering wheel. It came standard on the 1996-97 12v A4's, even though they didn't have a Sport Package option.

RE: Pics of the whip.
The3-spoke steering wheel was standard on the 1996-97 A4with the 12v 2.8 V6. In '97, the 1.8T option became available, and it had the 4-spoke steering wheel with radio controls. Then from 1998 onward, all A4s were available with the optional Sport Package, which included the 3-spoke steering wheel no matter what engine you had. I'm not sure if the 3-spoke steering wheel remained standard on the 2.8 models or not, but I'm pretty sure all 1.8T's (at least all pre-1999.5 models) had the 4-spoke steering wheel standard. I could be wrong, but just from having learned about the model in general since I've owned one, this is how I understand it.
