Phatnoise
Hey guys, I'm sick of listening to the radio and all I have is a cassette player. I just saw a post about this Phatnoise MP3 player. I have a 98 A4, is the wiring pre run for the changer in the trunk? I've seen my friends 00 or 01 and theres like a box in the trunk for it, which I don't have. I'd really like to get this but I don't want to have to run a bunch of wires. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

cd players are cheap these days.
Or get an Ipod and for $50 you can get a ICar Play cable. Works pretty good, not cd quality, but I am guessing if you only have a tape deck, you dont have a $1000 speaker set up. I use the Ipod in my truck and it is ok.

The PhatNoise PhatBox is like an iPod for your car. Drive sizes range from 20G-80G, currently, with bigger drives promised for the future...
To the best of MY understanding it plugs right into teh same wiring used for teh CD changer and, for so equiped cars, works through teh CD changers head unit w/o the need for additional parts/pieces needed. I do not know if your ride was "pre" wired for the CD changer, or not, or if you'd be able to use the PhatBox if it isn't, but they have a FAQ section and a contact us link on their website and may be able to answer your questiuon there...
