Im tired of only reading up on 1.8T there great cars but there are very few people who i see talkin about 3.0L, i wanna start up a chat so that us 3.0L enthusiasts can talk about our cars. Leave some stuff on what you think.

 

there's a pretty small "enthusiast" group for the 3.0.

i think that's because most of the people who consider themselves "enthusiasts" pick up a 1.8t.

yea anyone who really wants to make their car fast and cool gets a 1.8t, people who need to be sure to pick their grandchildren up from school on time choose the relaible ol 3.0

Na i got the car for free man i didnt really have a choice my dad gave it to me. And i think 3.0L's are hot if you do some good ****, and i woulda chose a 1.8T. I am just tryin to make the best of the car i have. And im not just a 3.0L enthusiast im a Audi enthusiast.

 

2.8-3.0's run forever...

it all depends on the goal of your car...if your keeping it stock i would rather have the 2.8 which is a full second faster in the 1/4 mile than a 1.8t....

I never hear about 3.0's either and wouldn't mind reading what others have to say about them. As I still have yet to buy a 1.8t or a 3.0 I'd like to know some pros and cons about each car. Although I'm pretty sure I'm going to be buying a 1.8t just because I'm going to be modding the car a lot and I hear there are no where near as many options for the 3.0. But to me it seems like the 3.0 has some serious power compared to the 1.8t so I'm still undecided at the moment.

 

Good thing you can get 3 BT's for the cost of one supercharger you closed minded-one engine biased *****!!

Everyone is welcome to talk about or be enthusiastic about whatever engine they want to here, NA or not.. Its hard for the NA's becasue the majority of the 2.8 crowd wish's they would have gotten a 1.8t when they want more power, and most of the 3.0 crowd thinks a turbonator or a smoked windshield gets them serious mod points. The fact is, the 1.8t gives its owners SO many options for power add on's/engine mods and the 2.8/3.0 doesnt.. So even if you put all the 2.8/3.0 owners into one room, they wouldnt have a whole lot to talk about other than one kind/brand of supercharger that maybe 1 out of 10 people can afford.
Im just stating the facts, i am not just 1.8t biased, i might even buy a 2.8 as a matter of fact. But not supercharge it, it would be a wifey mobile.
