ok honestly ive just grown out of driving a stick shift, espacially since im probably moving to the city for school in about 18 months, and wanted to know if the later model(1999-2001) A4s have paddle shifting on the steering wheel, is this true any good, i know auto isnt nywhere near as fun as stick but id rather through my car into drive in the city and every now and then tip it up on the high way, anyone got a pic of the paddles, ive never seen one, also is this the same for the S4 autos.

 

It's not the best pic, but my tiptronic has the shifter buttons on both sides on the front of the wheel, and the shifter itself. It's fun to use, but honestly I'd rather have a manual.

Yea they have buttons on the steering wheel, no paddles. Same in the S4.

I almost always have my seat warmer on on my car!! It feels good on my back (been in 7 wrecks, no 8 wrecks now non of which have been my fault. Just wrong place at the wrong time[:@]) So my back always hurts. Makes me loosen up a bit!!! LOL

Oh and I have just decided that I am going to make padel shifters for my car!!! I am in the process of designing them. It looks easy enough (maybe) and I already know about the wireing and everything. I will keep you all posted on whats going on! If it works well and stuff I might even sell them! Maybe... Don't know yet. LOL

Plus even though they are from a wrecked car it will still be expensive and also the probubly wouldn't fit to well.

you could fit a sexy voice system that tell you how to do it lol but I dont like the idea personally, I put mine in D and that's the last time I need to know ( it does all the work ) paddle switches are cool but just a teenage fad and they are problematic, give me the old auto any day
