P1127 diagnostic code
i got a P1127 diagnostic code on some guys A4. i met him at a car gathering and he had a check engine light. my chiltons read it as air fuel metering problem. but the rosstech says "exhaust not warm" whatever the hell that means.
can the air fuel be related to the N75 boost control soleniod? i think the exhaust thing might have something to do with the cat. anyhelp would be appreciated.
the symnptomes are his car bogs down and will hold a certain rpm for a while then once it pasts a certain rpm the car rockets off. ( sometimes itll bog in 2nd gear and hold 3000rpm with the pedal pressed all the way down then after like 5 sec of WOT the rpm will climb to like 3250 then the car rockets off. it sounds like maybe a plugged converter.

RE: P1127 diagnostic code
when i get out my catalytic converter the same code appears to me, did you have cat in your car ? this is the code of the 02 sensor that check the lambda, Lambda sensor is located in the exhaust pipe. It determines how much oxygen is in the exhaust gasses, and then gives current between 0 and 1 volt. 0 volt means that there is lots of oxygen in the gasses, and 1 volt means that there isn't.
Lambda sensor works only when hot. There are two kinds of sensors on the markets, the cold ones, which warm up slowly with the help of the exhaust gasses, and the pre-heated ones that use power to heat the sensor so it starts working quicker.
if you donĀ“t have cat, buy an o2 simulator.
good look and have a nice 2005
