Default P0171 System Too Lean (Bank 1) code

I have a 2004 Audi A4 Sedan 1.8t. About a month ago the car started doing this stuttering motion on slight acceleration at low speeds almost like the tires were stuttering over an uneven surface. The ESP never kicked in so I thought it might be something with the transmission. I took it to the dealership like two weeks ago and they found no problems and the car was throwing no codes at the time.

Yesterday the check engine light came on and on an acceleration from a stop at like a stop sign the rpms drop almost like it's about to die and then revs back up like nothing is wrong. If I really slowly push the gas pedal to get the car going it doesn't dip but in either case the car feels like it's running on much reduced horsepower. I went and pulled the code and got a p0171 System Too Lean (Bank 1). I got inside the engine bay and found a check type valve with a tear in the top of it. Well I'm not sure if it was a tear or it was melted. The valve looked like it had been hit with something corrosive and was covered in white/gray powder.

I took the valve out, cleaned it, and made a patch over the top of the hole on the side with black rtv and several layers of paper towel. I checked to make sure it had sealed the hole pretty good and let the rtv dry over night. The valve now seems pretty closed. I cleared the code and the car seemed to run fine last night.

I was planning on getting a replacement valve but autozone/advanced auto had no idea what it was and/or didn't seem to carry it. Today the check engine light came on again and this time I also got a low oil pressure warning. I just had the oil changed when I had it checked out at the dealership and checking the dip stick it was still full of oil.

I'm wondering if there is potentially another problem besides that valve, or if that valve having a hole caused something else to break, why is the low oil pressure indicator turning on, and/or does this have anything to do with the car stuttering at initial acceleration.

I've included a photo of the valve I'm refering too.

Thanks for your help guys!

It might be the purge valve. Show the picture to an Audi parts
man.

if you took it out make sure you put it back in the same way. it only works in one direction so if you put it in backwards it will cause problems.
