There is only one little screw holding the crank position sensor, but what do i know.

camshaft position sensor.

theres 2 bolts holding it on

Now that does have two bolts holding it on, but that won't cause it to stall on our engines. It will throw a fault like you say but it will just run like a KIA most likely. I believe the engine will run with it disconnected.

I would imagine it would with no oil pressure, do not run the motor with the oil light on! Once the oil pick up tube gets clogged it doesn't take much to take out the motor. Your first order of buisness is to get the oil pressure checked, then worry about the rest.

Ok, you say your a technician, did you check the engine codes its throwing to see whats going on?

Or are there none?

If it was running like crap before it died, it sounds like you were having a timing or misfire problem if the engine and oil temps were normal.

It looks like the CPS threw a code.

Either the sensor is bad, or the harness connector is not making a good connection.

Start there, by cleaning the harness. Then clear the codes, try to start the car, and see if a CPS codes comes back.

I would clear by pulling the negative battery cable, to reset the ecu.
