Yes, I did change the oil filter with a new Mobil 1 high capacity oil filter that is about twice the size of the previous filter. I am using the 5w-30 full synthetic from Mobil 1. I will also order the new dipstick as soon as ECS opens on Monday. If the oil level is still to high, I will try and slowly drain some oil from the drain plug. I hope this is the problem. [:@]

I also forgot to ask, the picture above I ask “what is this” does any one know if this is a sensor or something like that, it looks to be something of that sort but I cant tell. Or even a placement lock for the dipstick. And again I’m new to the Audi world that’s why im not certainty. I guess I will have to invest in a book.

The snapped off funnel is the problem. Your dipstick is going down an inch too far. Getcoolparts.com or ECS has them for about 6 dollars. The hardest part is getting the broken one off. the easiest way is to use a dremel and a small cut off wheel to cut through the plastic. The new one clips on easily.
