Uh oh.... I can't be sure but I think with the valve cover off and running you should have oil all over the place.

Do you have the part number for the new head gasket you used? What 1.8T motor do you have?

Its a 98 so I have an AEB head. There isn't oil everywhere, theres not even any oil really in the head besides what I poured onto the cams...

I have some people on audizine telling me that I need to take it for an EASY drive to get my oil pressure back....just makes me nervous with all that ticking..

I'll have the part number for you in a few, I got it off ECS.

I have even worse news,todays the first day I put coolant in the car,and the back right corner near the firewall is leaking coolant out between the head and the block. I have No idea why, i followed the instructions in my hanes manual and I torked the bolts down properly.

the package for the head gasket says:

Victor Reinz 61-31955-10 Volkswagen

058 103 383k Cylinder head gasket 1.8T ES#1616 LOC:E11

Did you check the head for warppage? If you were running with no coolant the head may be out of whack.

I didnt check it for warpage, I did have it resurfaced though. And i resurfaced my block.

well guys I feel like a complete idiot. I just pulled the head again and I put the gasket on upside down..
