noisy rattle from rear?
I have a 98 A4 quattro 1.8T.. I have a rattle from the rear driverside of the car.. it rattles only on small bumps and low speeds. It sounds tinny, but I cant trace it to the exhaust. It is something with the rear suspension I am guessing? Has anyone seen or had this issue?? Please respond asap!!

Hmm, my guess is that the last body you stuffed in your boot lost a bit of jewlry. You better find it.. It links you to the body.
Btw you need to rinse out your boot with a phenolic... All that dried blood is starting to stink.

Grouse makes a good point, sorta. It cud be a loose nut or bolt trapped between the inner & outer fender, down in that well behind the wheel arch....

you're a twitchy little kid aren't you?
kudos for finally starting your own thread btw
quite honestly, unless this happens to be something like the bumpstop, or some other suspension related rattle, i can really only think this is muffler related. obviously this is pretty difficult to diagnose... but try actually having someone rev the car (obviously keep away from the fumes) and see if there's any rattles there. if nothing... then it could be something in the framework. i'm pretty confident that you'll hear the rattle when you rev. it could possibly be a clamp or something gettting a little rusty and having some play. also, if you have a manual, at slow speeds, try downshifting and seeing if that noise goes away/gets louder
give it a try and let us know what you hear
