NO low end torque HELP!!!
hey guys. I am new to Audi and not to mention turbo charged engines, and i was just wondering if it is normal for a '02 Audi A4 1.8 Q Auto to take off from a dead stop as if it was a Honda with its wires crossed. I am concerned that there might be a problem with it, any help at all if much appreciated.

RE: NO low end torque HELP!!!
if anything i think the chip would make a bigger difference between low and high end power/ torque. Since you'd have much more power up top, and the low RPM's wont be affected much by the chip

Not directly no, but more horsey power, the faster the take off. which is what he was talking about. You brought up lag, I was addressing the stock hp rating.
he could just scrap the car and give it to one of us.

well I dont think that I will be giving up on this care anytime soon! so forget about scrapping it. I understand the turbo lag but for being a 1.8 liter it is a whole hell of a lot slower than a 2.0 honda I had, not sure if thats a good comparison AUDI<==>honda. but i guess ill just have to learn to never stop at stop signs that way i dont have to wait for the turbo to spool up. Or accept the fact that this car weight 1 1/2 tons Right? No i didnt think that the 1.8t's had the CVT tranny just the V6 did. but it is the 5spd tiptronic.
