Newbie...Good deal for an Audi A4?-Lynn
Hi,
I am thinking of an 2003 Audi A4 1.8T quattro, blk color. It has the winter package and has 33,900 miles on it and the dealer is ready to sell it for 21,500. Is it worth it, decent? or should I be looking for a better one. Also please tell me if there are any problems with this year model of Audi?
Thanks
Lynn

To see if it's a fair price, you can always enter in all the information on http://www.kbb.com. Is it in good condition?
One particular problem with Audis is that if the oil is not changed on schedule, the oil can gel in the engine. This is a very, very expensive repair.

Is it certified? I would make sure it was before purchasing it. For comparison purposes, I just bought a 2002 a4 w/ 33k on it for $20k- certified. If its certified you shouldn't have to worry about oil or other problems...

I just bought my very first Audi less than a week ago. I have a silver 03 A4 1.8TQ. I bought mine with 26,500 miles on it and it is certified. So that means mine will be under warranty until I reach 100,000 miles (not likely) or August of 2009. I could have gotten the same exact car w/o heated seats for 22k from a local carmax that wasn't certified and only had 10,000 miles left on the original warranty for 22k. I bought mine for 23,200. I just think that a certified warranty and heated seats is worth an extra 1,200 bucks.
Is your a good price for a non-precertified Audi... I would think so. However, if you afford just a couple grand more I would highly recommend getting a precertified Audi from a dealer because once the original warranty is gone you are on your own.
