New vs Certified CPO?

New vs Certified CPO?
Am considering an A4 Cabriolet. After reviewing Consumer Reports, which is not kind to A4, I feel that a new vehicle is my only option (4 years / 50K miles of peace of mind).I would probablyhave it about 4 years anyway. Dropped by the local dealership yesterday andsalesman said I should considerCertified. He said I could buy a 2005and as CPO it would include 2 yrs / 50K on top of base warranty. I won't put on many miles, so I am mostconcerned about years. So 2 year old car means 2 years remaining on original warranty + 2 years CPO warranty = 4 years total (same as original). He said it was the same bumper to bumper. I checked Audi website, and it looks like it is the same, except it doesn't cover stereo ornav (It also excludes damage, maintenance and wear & tear, but I assume the original factory warranty does too).Overall, Certified sounds like a good deal if the 2-year old car still looks good and is significantly cheaper than new. Am I missing something here? A new A4 is a budget buster. It would nice to have a cheaper car and still have peice of mind.

Oh yeah ... he also said I would get an Audi loaner whenever I had warranty repairwork done. How good areAudi svc depts about providing Audi loaners? I know local Mercedes givesHyundai loaners, but BMW does give BMW loaners...

RE: New vs Certified CPO?
I've taken my car in for service twice, and each time the dealer gave me an Audi loaner. First time, gave me an A6 cause they had no more A4 loaners. BTW, I bought my A4 used, with CPO warranty, and I'm only at 47k, so the factory warranty still applies. After 50k, the CPO warranty will kick in.
