I just got another 01 A41.8tq and im planning on [utting quite a bit of money in it so its not such a dog. Now I already ordered the flash program and a borla exhaust and 710 diverter. Im also thinking about getting a new turbo kit for it. Is it worth it and what one should I go for and wheres the best place to order it? Thank for any help you can give!

Depends what you want to do with your car. Do you want a daily driver or a track car? And what kind of budget do you have? If you use the search function you can find out a lot. Look under "Arif" as the author. There is a thread with like 30 pages when he installed his setup.

 

is your new 1.8tq an auto or manual??? Youll need a tranny upgrade if its auto if you plan on a BT. Why did you order a flash program if you might do a turbo upgrade?? Youll just need new software for it anyway.

 

Yea i was worried id have to do it all over with the new turbo, my bad i guess. My car is stick and I want it to be faster than my wrx. It need to be streetable but its definetly not gonna be a daily driver. My budget is right around 2gs

 

Oh yea and is the Neuspeed kit any good?

Yea thats what ive been seeing, I can do all the work myself. So is the new speed kit junk and what other stuff would you reccomend i get if i got the Renn art kit?

 

In addition to the turbo, youll need the following, possibly more. I just listed em in a recent thread: (FMIC, FPR, exhaust, software, clutch, injectors, etc).

 

A k04 kit will get you close to a wrx for 2K or less.
