hello and thank you all for all your help with my questions... One more how often should i change my oil ?
Could not find anything in the mannual except the 10000 mile service schedules..

 

i do mine every 4000 miles wit full synthetic cause 10000 is way to long for me

You have a B6.

You should use only full synthetic in your car.

The oil should be changed at least every 5K miles, or if you don't drive much, at least every 4-6 months.

You should only use OEM filters (eg Mann or Bosch) filters which you can get from the dealer or over the net. Get the new larger size filters. Do not use Framm or other cheap filter.

 

changing oil is the best thing u can do as for preventative maintenance. i change mine every 3,000 miles. allthough that may be a bit much especially when using synthetics its always better to be safe than sorry.

 

yeah im with sandman i change mines about every 3-4k i try to do it every 3k and i always use full synthetic.. kinda got an advantage one of my boys works for jiffy lube..
