New to the forum, just picked up a 99.5 1.8TQM

Seems like when i was looking 97-98 with similar miles were going 9-10k. And the manuals were hard to locate.

Its a 3.2 USA engine with no internal work (no cams). Dynoed at 243/232, now im hoping it is around 250whp.

After you chip it, I strongly recommend a short shift kit. Makes a BIG difference. I like Dieselgeek stuff, but I guess they are all pretty much the same. Go to www.dieselgeek.com.

Gotcha. first priority is timing chain though. I will look into a short shift kit. Keep in mind this is my DD.

Even if its your DD I would chip it. It won't hurt reliability and it will make yoiur DD a lot more fun.
